Vybz Kartel’s Lawyers Finalizing Preparations for Appeal

Lawyers for dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel and his co accused are combing through the transcript of the murder trial in preparation to mount an appeal.

Attorney-at-Law Valrie Neita Robertson confirmed that she is perusing the documents in order to prepare the case to go to court to make an application for leave to appeal.

Speaking with IRIE FM News one of the attorneys representing Kartel Tom Tavares-Finson says the team is now ready to proceed:

Mr Tavares-Finson had represented Kartel at the murder trial in the Home Circuit Court in 2014.

Kartel, whose given name is Adidja Palmer and his three co-accused, Shawn Storm Campbell, Kahira Jones and Andre St John, were convicted for the august 2011 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.
